Omar El-Deeb is a composer, instrumentalist, and music producer who started his career as a live and studio musician in Cairo, Egypt, before transitioning into music production and composing for television and film. Omar currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
Today, Omar’s music can be heard in feature films like Someone Somewhere, Sound of Violence, and Breaking Bread, as well as shows like This American Life, CBS’s Strange Angel, and Ava Duvernay’s, Cherish the Day.
From experimental to rooted, ambient to melodic, fast-paced to melancholic, Omar delivers whatever voice the project commands on deadline. He is multi-proficient in lutes and guitars, and synths and orchestra with a unique insight of telling the story with instrumentation and harmony. Omar is an effortless collaborator in the room with creatives and producers, and has a penchant for purpose-driven work.
